What is TRC20?
TRON (TRX) is a blockchain platform for decentralized applications (Dapps) allowing users to create or issue tokens on its blockchain. These tokens can be used as Dapp’s currency or depend on any purpose of the holder issuing these tokens. Like ERC on Ethereum, TRC is a standard for tokens running on the TRON platform.
TRC -20 — a token standard is issued based on smart contracts on the TRON blockchain. There is a feature that the TRC20 is fully compatible with Ethereum’s ERC20 standard, so tokens issued based on ERC20 can switch Smart Contract to TRC20.
In general, one thing you should note is that TRC20 is a token standard for the TRON platform, which is similar to ERC20 on Ethereum. Currently, the TRC20 standard has become popular with the arrival of the USDT Tether TRC20 protocol.
